Despite being snobbed by the Academy, Three Identical Strangers was awarded and recognized around the world cinema as one of the best documentaries made in 2018.
It tells a story, stranger than fiction, about triplets who were separated at birth and reunited by coincidence in University, at age 19. As the doco goes by, the viewer discovers that this story is much more that pure chance, as it challenges the limits of science, ethics and humanity.
It made me laugh and it made me cry, but above all things it made mequestion myself: genetics or environment? Who are we after all? And do we have the right to play Big Brother to find out?
